dc.description.abstractการวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา สภาพการใช้บริการ ปัญหาการใช้บริการ และความต้องการ ในการใช้บริการของผู้ใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตผ่านเครือข่ายจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ภายใต้โดเมนเน็ตเสิร์ฟ กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือสมาชิกของศูนย์บริการเครือข่ายจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยในส่วนกลาง จำนวน 584 คน โดยเป็นอาจารย์ 266 คน และเป็นนิสิต 318 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย เป็นแบบสอบถามอย่างมีโครงสร้าง วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยการหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยและส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ผู้ใช้บริการส่วนใหญ่ใช้เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ของคณะซึ่งต่อตรงกับศูนย์บริการ โดยติดต่อผ่านระบบ Windows 95 ช่วงเวลาที่ใช้บริการ คือ 21.01-23.00 น. มากที่สุด โดยติดต่อเข้าศูนย์บริการ 1-2 ครั้งต่อสัปดาห์ และส่วนใหญ่ใช้เวลา 1-2 ชั่วโมงในการใช้บริการต่อ 1 ครั้ง ผู้ใช้บริการใช้จดหมายอิเล็กทรอนิกส์มากที่สุด รองลงมาได้แก่การค้นหาข้อมูลและแฟ้มข้อมูล 2. ปัญหาในการใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตผ่านเครือข่ายจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ที่ผู้ใช้บริการพบมากที่สุดคือ การสื่อสารมีความเร็วต่ำ ไม่สามารถจัดส่งจดหมายอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ได้ ศูนย์บริการให้บริการถ่ายโอนแฟ้มข้อมูลด้วยความเร็วต่ำ ศูนย์บริการ TELNET ขัดข้องทำให้ไม่สามารถเข้าใช้บริการได้ ใช้เวลานานในการค้นหาข้อมูลแบบ WWW และไม่พบกลุ่มข่าวที่ต้องการ 3. ผู้ใช้บริการส่วนใหญ่ ต้องการเพิ่มคู่สายโทรศัพท์เพื่อติดต่อกับศูนย์บริการและเพิ่มความเร็วในการเชื่อมต่อในระดับมากที่สุด ต้องการใช้บริการจดหมายอิเล็กทรอนิกส์และการค้นหาข้อมูลและแฟ้มข้อมูลในระดับมากที่สุด เพิ่มเนื้อที่ในการเก็บจดหมายในพื้นที่ส่วนตัวของผู้ใช้บริการมากที่สุด เพิ่มจำนวนแฟ้มข้อมูล ขยายเวลาในการเก็บข้อมูล เพิ่มเนื้อที่ในการเก็บข้อมูล และเพิ่มความเร็วในการถ่ายโอนแฟ้มข้อมูลในระดับมากที่สุด เพิ่มช่องทางในการเชื่อมโยงและเพิ่มความเร็วในการติดต่อกับเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ปลายทางระยะไกลในระดับมากที่สุด เพิ่มความเร็วในการค้นหาข้อมูลและแฟ้มข้อมูลและเพิ่มจำนวนข้อมูลและแฟ้มข้อมูลให้กับศูนย์บริการ ที่เป็นสมาชิกในระดับมากที่สุด
dc.description.abstractalternativeThe purpose of this research was to study state, problems and needs concerning the internet services via Chulalongkorn University Network as perceived by active users. The samples were 584 members of Chulalongkorn University Network service center, of which 266 were instructors and 318 were students. Questionnaires were used to collect data. The statistics used to analyzed the data were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The findings were as follows: 1. The majority of the active internet users accessed to the network directly from computers on campus which generally ran on Windows 95. During 9.00-11.00 pm. Was found to be the most popular period of time for people to access the network. Normally, users got on the system one or two times a week with a period of 1-2 hours each times. The most popular service was electronic mail. 2. The most serious problems found in the study related to the speed of the system. In many cases, users cannot use the Telnet service which was due to the malfunction of the system. The availability of the news group was found to be limited. 3. There was a need to upgrade the telephone systems to increase the speed of the network. The systems should have more disk space available for each user.
