dc.description.abstract	งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาองค์ประกอบและลักษณะทางกายภาพ รูปแบบและลักษณะกิจกรรม รวมถึงบทบาทและความสำคัญของพื้นที่บริเวณอนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ที่มีเอกลักษณ์และบทบาทที่สำคัญของกรุงเทพมหานคร รวมทั้งเสนอรูปแบบการปรับปรุงฟื้นฟูพื้นที่ จากการศึกษาพบว่าพื้นที่บริเวณอนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิ มีบทบาทสำคัญทางด้านกายภาพ สังคมและเศรษฐกิจ โดยเป็นศูนย์กลางของระบบขนส่งมวลชน เป็นที่รวมกิจกรรมทางสังคม และเป็นแหล่งกิจกรรมทางเศรษฐกิจของเมือง จากการที่เมืองมีการพัฒนาอย่างรวดเร็วทำให้พื้นที่บริเวณอนุสาวรีย์ชัย สมรภูมิในปัจจุบันเกิดปัญหาในด้านการใช้ที่ดินไม่คุ้มค่า สภาพอาคารเสื่อมโทรม ขาดความต่อเนื่องของระบบทางเดิน และปัญหาทางภูมิทัศน์และสภาพแวดล้อม แนวทางและรูปแบบในการปรับปรุงฟื้นฟูพื้นที่อนุสาวรีย์ชัยสมรภูมิประกอบด้วย 1. การควบคุมการพัฒนาพื้นที่ในอนาคต - ควบคุมการใช้ที่ดินโดยจำแนกพื้นที่ออกเป็น เขตควบคุมการก่อสร้าง เขตการใช้ที่ดินแบบผสมผสาน เขตการใช้ที่ดินของสถาบันราชการ เขตการใช้ที่ดินของสถาบันการศึกษา เขตการใช้ที่ดินของสถาบันศาสนา และเขตการใช้ที่ดินประเภทที่โล่งเพื่อนันทนาการ - ควบคุมรูปแบบและองค์ประกอบทางสถาปัตยกรรม - ควบคุมแนวเส้นขอบฟ้า ความสูงอาคารและแนวมองที่สำคัญ 2. การปรับปรุงฟื้นฟูพื้นที่ - การปรับปรุงฟื้นฟูสิ่งก่อสร้างเดิม ในด้านรูปแบบและองค์ประกอบทางสถาปัตยกรรมในลักษณะกิจกรรมเดิม - การปรับปรุงฟื้นฟูโดยการรื้ออาคารเดิม สร้างใหม่ ปรับเปลี่ยนกิจกรรมในเชิงพาณิชย์ - การปรับปรุงฟื้นฟูโดยการปรับเปลี่ยนพื้นที่ทิ้งร้าง เสื่อมโทรม เป็นพื้นที่กิจกรรมในเชิงพาณิชย์ - การปรับปรุงฟื้นฟูโดยการปรับเปลี่ยนพื้นที่เสื่อมโทรม เป็นที่โล่งว่างและที่จอดรถ 3. การเชื่อมโยงระบบเครือข่ายการสัญจร โดยปรับปรุงสะพานทางเดินเท้าให้มีความต่อเนื่องกันและเชื่อมต่อกับกิจกรรม ต่างๆ ในพื้นที่ 4. การปรับปรุงองค์ประกอบของเมืองด้านภูมิทัศน์และสภาพแวดล้อมเมือง	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	The objectives of this research are to study the physical elements and characteristics, patterns and activities, and the roles and significance of Victory Monument Area which is the unique and important part of Bangkok and to propose regeneration guidelines for the area. The result of the study revealed that Victory Monument Area has major roles in physical, social, and economic aspects. It is the center of public transportation, social activities, as well as an economic central place Bangkok. The rapid urban development has caused several problems to the area-inappropriation of land utilization, building deterioration, lack of continuity of the footpath system, visual pollution, and environmental deterioration. The proposed regeneration guidelines for Victory Monument Area are as follows: i) controlling future development of the area by - controlling land use by dividing the area into prohibit zone, mixed-use zone, public-use zone, educational zone, religious zone and recreational zone; - controlling architectural patterns and elements; - controlling skyline, building height and vistas; ii) regenerating the area by - regenerating old building to improve architectural patterns and elements while maintain existing activities; - replacing old buildings with new ones and new activities; - developing abandon areas into new economic activity spaces; - developing abandon areas into new parking spaces. iii) connecting footpath system and pedestrian bridges to link activities urban the area; iv) developing urban elements, landscape, and environment.	en
