dc.description.abstract	บทความเรื่องนี้มีจุดประสงค์ในการศึกษาภาพพฤติกรรมโจรและอันธพาลที่จิตรกรในรัชสมัย พระบาทสมเด็จพระนั่งเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ได้วาดไว้บนผนังโบสถ์วิหารของพระอารามหลวงแห่งสำคัญที่สร้างหรือปฏิสังขรณ์ขึ้นในรัชกาลนั้น โดยจะได้ศึกษาวิเคราะห์ถึงความสำคัญของภาพโจรและอันธพาลที่จิตรกรวาดไว้ ในฐานะที่โจรและอันธพาลมีความสำคัญเป็นตัวดำเนินเรื่องในเรื่องราวทางพุทธศาสนาที่จิตรกรเลือกสรรมาวาด พร้อมกันนั้นยังศึกษาถึงรูปลักษณ์ของโจรและอันธพาลที่ปรากฏในภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนัง โดยแสดงการวิเคราะห์ตัวอย่างภาพโจรและอันธพาลจำนวนหนึ่งที่วาดขึ้นในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 3 การศึกษาในขั้นตอนสุดท้ายของบทความนี้คือ การศึกษารูปลักษณ์ของโจรและอันธพาลที่ปรากฏในภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนัง โดยเทียบเคียงกับภาพลักษณ์ของโจรและอันธพาลที่ปรากฏในงานวรรณกรรมร่วมสมัยที่แต่งขึ้นในช่วงรัชกาลที่ 2 และ 3 เพื่อหาข้อสรุปว่า ความตั้งใจของจิตรกรที่ได้วาดภาพโจรและอันธพาลประเภทต่างๆ ขึ้นมานั้น เป็นความตั้งใจที่จะใช้ปลายพู่กันของตนนั้นสะท้อนภาพของสังคมสยามในเวลานั้นให้ปรากฏเป็นหลักฐานกับคนรุ่นหลัง	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	To study the depictions of bandits and villains in the Jataka mural paintings from the royal monasteries renovated under the royal patronage of King Rama III. Images and behaviors of bandits and villains depicted in the mural paintings are examined with data from contemporary royal chronicles and literature. This helps confirm the abundance of bandits and villains as one of the social problems in Siamese society under Rama III. Masterpieces of these depictions from several royal monasteries, such as Wat Phra Chetupon, Wat Sudhat and Wat Kreuwan are discussed. The study is based on the assumption that Thai mural paintings are able to reflect people’s way of life and social conditions in Siam during the painters’ lifetime.	en
