dc.description.abstract	บทความฉบับนี้วิเคราะห์บทละครรางวัลพูลลิตเซอร์ ปี ค.ศ. 1999 ของ มาร์กาเร็ต เอ็ดสัน เรื่อง Wit โดยมุ่งศึกษาความคิดหลักที่ว่าด้วยความรู้และความรักด้วยการสร้างโครงเรื่อง การเสนอภาพ ตัวละคร และการใช้สหบท เอ็ดสันเสนอความคิดที่เรียบง่ายและสำคัญ แต่มักถูกละเลยไปที่ว่า ความรู้จำเป็นต้องควบคู่ไปกับความรัก ความเอื้ออาทร และความปรารถนาที่จะนำความรู้นั้นไปใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ต่อผู้อื่น ในโลกที่ความรู้ถูกใช้ไปในการแสวงหาอำนาจ เอ็ดสันพยายามสื่อความคิดที่ว่าการศึกษาหรือการแสวงหาความรู้ ควรมีจุดหมายสูงสุดในการบ่มเพาะคุณธรรมและการพัฒนาจิตวิญญาณของมนุษย์	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	This essays examines Margaret Edson’s 1999 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Wit, focusing on its main themes of love and knowledge. Through the careful structuring of plot, the portrayal of characters, and the use of intertextuality, Edson conveys a simple and important, yet usually neglected, idea that knowledge should be accompanied by love, compassion, and a desire to render knowledge beneficial to fellow beings. In our world where knowledge has been deployed to acquire power, Edson’s play argues that education or a search for knowledge should ultimately aim at the cultivation of virtues and spiritual development.	en
