dc.description.abstract	การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาสถานการณ์ด้านการท่องเที่ยวตลอดจนปัญหาที่ประสบอยู่ในปัจจุบันของเทศบาลเมืองภูเก็ตและพื้นที่เกี่ยวเนื่อง โดยการนำไปเปรียบเทียบกับพื้นที่ท่องเที่ยวของกลุ่มชายฝั่งทะเลอันดามัน ซึ่งเป็นที่นิยมของนักท่องเที่ยวเช่นเดียวกัน ทั้งนี้ได้ทำการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลปฐมภูมิ และทุติยภูมิเพื่อทำการตรวจสอบและสัมภาษณ์นักท่องเที่ยวทั้งชาวไทยและชาวต่างชาติ ตลอดจนวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้คอมพิวเตอร์โปรแกรม SPSS เพื่อนำไปใช้เป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวในอนาคต ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ภูเก็ตมีจุดขายหลักทางด้านทรัพยากรการท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติ นักท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่เป็นนักท่องเที่ยวจากภายนอกประเทศและภายในประเทศ เป้าหมายหลักในการเดินทางท่องเที่ยวเป็นเรื่องของการพักผ่อน และสนุกสนานกับแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติ ในขณะที่แหล่งท่องเที่ยวในเขตเทศบาลเมืองภูเก็ตและพื้นที่เกี่ยวเนื่องยังไม่ได้รับการพัฒนาให้เท่ากับมาตรฐานที่จะดึงดูดนักท่องเที่ยวให้มากขึ้นได้ดังนั้น เป้าหมายหลักของการพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวในเขตเทศบาลเมืองภูเก็ตและพื้นที่เกี่ยวเนื่องจะต้องทำอย่างเร่งด่วน และอยู่บนฐานการพัฒนาสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกในแหล่งพื้นที่การท่องเที่ยว การทำนุบำรุงของธรรมเนียมประเพณีท้องถิ่น รวมทั้งมาตรฐานความปลอดภัย และความสะอาด ในขณะเดียวกับความคิดของการอนุรักษ์จะต้องนำมาพิจารณาเพื่อจะสร้างความประทับใจที่ดีสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งนอกประเทศและในประเทศ โดยคาดหวังที่จะให้พื้นที่เทศบาลเมืองภูเก็ตและพื้นที่เกี่ยวเนื่องเป็นตลาดการท่องเที่ยวที่ได้รับความสนใจจากนักท่องเที่ยวในอนาคตอันใกล้ จากผลการศึกษาสามารถเสนอแนะแนวทางการพัฒนาออกเป็น 5 แนวทางหลักของกิจกรรมต่างๆ ได้ดังต่อไปนี้ 1) จัดให้มีกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่หลากหลายเพื่อการท่องเที่ยวเพิ่มขึ้น 2) ปรับปรุงสภาพแวดล้อมและภูมิทัศน์ และองค์ประกอบโดยรวมของแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทั้งหมดให้มีความร่มรื่น สวยงาม และปลอดภัย โดยยังคงบรรยากาศความเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของแต่ละพื้นที่เอาไว้อย่างสมบูรณ์ 3) จัดระบบเส้นทางท่องเที่ยวและการสัญจรที่เหมาะโดยจัดทำโครงข่ายของเส้นทางท่องเที่ยว และองค์ประกอบต่างๆ อย่างเป็นระบบ 4) ปรับปรุงระบบการประชาสัมพันธ์และการเผยแพร่ข้อมูลให้กว้างขวางและทั่วถึงมากขึ้น 5) ดำเนินการให้ทุกฝ่ายที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนาการท่องเที่ยวในเขตเทศบาลเมืองภูเก็ตและพื้นที่เกี่ยวเนื่องได้มีการร่วมมือกันอย่างจริงจัง ซึ่งจะส่งผลให้แนวทางการพัฒนาที่นำเสนอนี้สามารถเป็นจริงได้ในทางปฏิบัติต่อไป
dc.description.abstractalternative	This study attempted to clarify the tourism situation and to identify its main constraint facing Phuket Municipal and Vicinities by comparing with Andaman groups. It is based on the findings of primary and secondary data, interviewing the domestic and foreign tourists analyzed by computer, statistical package for social sciences programme. It was found that Phuket is composed with several natural tourist resources. The major part of visitors are foreign tourists and domestic tourists. The purposes of their visit were recreation and enjoy its natural tourist resources while many tourist resources in the Phuket Municipal and Vicinities are not developed to meet the standard to gain more tourists. Thus the guideline for tourist development in the Phuket Municipal and Vicinities should be done urgently and must be based on development facilities and utilities. On the tourist resource areas, renovation of folk festival and tradition including the standard of safety and sanitization as well as the concept of conservation should be concerned to make the good impression for visitors. The impression and the tourism capabilities for foreign and local Thai tourists are expected for those operations to make the Phuket Municipal and Vicinities to be one of the most attractive provide for tourism in the near future. From the result mainly pointing to five ways of activities as following. 1) Promotion for many kinds of tourism activities. 2) Renovation on urban environment and landscaping as well as tourism resources maintaining the natural .convenient, and safety. The atmosphere and the character of eash resource must be completely threated. 3) Organizing the system for routes and suitable communications must get along nicely with tourist resources. 4) Redevelope the system of public relation and information more widly. 5) Personal invitation for every one concerning with tourist development will cooperate for the resources development for reality.
