Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to compare concurrent validity among direct, new direct (developed by Amond Sakworawich), and indirect person-organization fit measures. The criterion variables In this study were Job satisfaction, organizational commitment, intention to quit, and organizational citizenship behavior. The results showed that direct person-organization fit had positive correlations with Job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and organizational citizenship behavior, but negative correlation with intention to quit. Additionally, indirect measure had no correlation with job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. The results also revealed that direct measure had higher correlations with criterion variables than indirect one, but no difference between direct and new direct one. However, the new direct measure gives more information than direct one, and can be better applied for employee attitude survey.
