dc.description.abstract	สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มุ่งศึกษาแนวทางการแปลคำศัพท์ทางวัฒนธรรมทั้งวัฒนธรรมอัฟกันและวัฒนธรรมศาสนาอิสลามที่ผู้แปลใช้ในงานแปล รวมถึงศึกษาเหตุผลและทัศนคติที่ผู้แปลมีต่อแนวทางที่ใช้แปลนั้น ๆ ทฤษฎีและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้องที่ผู้แปลได้นำมาใช้ในการศึกษาแนวทางการแปลคำศัพท์ทางวัฒนธรรม ได้แก่ ทฤษฎีวาทกรรมวิเคราะห์ของคริสติอาเน่ นอร์ด ทฤษฎีการวิเคราะห์ตัวบท ประเภทวรรณกรรมของทอมลินสันและลินช์-บราวน์ แนวทางการแปลแบบตรงตัวของมิลเดรด แอล. ลาร์สัน แนวทางการแปลแบบตีความของฌอง เดอลีล และการใช้คำทับศัพท์ของราชบัณฑิตยสถาน รวมถึงความหมายและประเภทของวัฒนธรรม คำศัพท์ทางวัฒนธรรม แนวคิดทางศาสนาอิสลามและวัฒนธรรมอัฟกัน โดยวิเคราะห์ร่วมกันกับเหตุผลและทัศนคติของผู้แปลที่ ได้จากการสัมภาษณ์ หลังจากที่ได้นำทฤษฎีและแนวคิดข้างต้นมาวิเคราะห์แนวทางการแปลพบว่า มีการแปลคำศัพท์ทางวัฒนธรรม 2 รูปแบบหลัก คือ 1) การใช้คำทับศัพท์ โดยแบ่งย่อยเป็น 1.1) การใช้คำทับศัพท์แบบมีคำไทยผสม 1.2) การใช้คำทับศัพท์แบบไม่มีคำไทยผสม และ 2) การแปลแบบ ตีความแล้วถ่ายทอดด้วยคำที่รู้จักกันในวัฒนธรรมภาษาปลายทาง โดยผู้แปลนิยมใช้การทับศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษแบบไม่มีคำไทยผสมมากที่สุด คิดเป็นร้อยละ 54 ของจำนวนคำศัพท์ทางวัฒนธรรมทั้งหมดที่มีการแปล ผู้แปลให้เหตุผลว่าเลือกใช้คำทับศัพท์เนื่องจากต้องการรักษาอรรถรสของเรื่องพร้อมกับให้ความรู้ทางวัฒนธรรมภาษาต้นฉบับแก่ผู้อ่าน ดังนั้น จากการศึกษาแนวทางการแปล คำศัพท์ทางวัฒนธรรม ผนวกกับการวิเคราะห์เหตุผลและความเห็นของผู้แปล สรุปได้ว่าการใช้คำทับศัพท์อาจเป็นการแก้ปัญหาการแปลคำศัพท์เฉพาะวัฒนธรรมที่เหมาะสมและสอดคล้องกับเจตนาของผู้แปลที่ต้องการรักษาอรรถรสและถ่ายทอดวัฒนธรรมของตัวบทต้นฉบับให้ได้มากที่สุด	en_US
dc.description.abstractalternative	This special research aims to analyze strategies in translation of cultural words in literature The Kite Runner translated from English into Thai by Vishnuchatr Visessuwanpoom. The hypothesis is that translating cultural issues, translator is required to study theories and principles include Christiane Nord’s Discourse Analysis, Tomlinson and Lynch-Brown’s Essentials of Children's Literature, Mildred L Larson’s Meaning-based Translation, Jean Delisle’s Interpretive Approach of Translation and The Royal Institute’s Standard for Loan Words. These are studied along with Definitions and Categories of Culture and Cultural words, and Islamic and Afghan Cultures. The research is also analyzed with the translator reasons and attitudes towards the issue. The researcher finds two major strategies in translating Afghan and Islamic cultural words into Thai as follows 1) loan words which are 1.1) loan words along with Thai modifications also known as loan blend, and 1.2) loan words without Thai modifications, and 2) Cultural Substitution derived from Interpretive Approach. The most frequently used is the first strategy and according to the translator, the use of loan words is the most appropriate approach to preserve the meaning and flavor in the target text.	en_US
