| Abstract: | งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาถึงสภาพการใช้วารสารวิชาการทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาต่างประเทศของผู้ใช้สำนักบรรณสารการพัฒนา สถาบันบัณฑิตพัฒนบริหารศาสตร์ ซึ่งครอบคลุมถึงปริมาณการใช้วารสารวิชาการ อายุ และประเภทวิชาของวารสารที่มีการใช้และเพื่อเปรียบเทียบการใช้วารสารวิชาการภาษาไทยและวารสารวิชาการภาษาต่างประเทศของผู้ใช้สำนักบรรณสารการพัฒนา สถาบันบัณฑิตพัฒนบริหารศาสตร์ ผลการวิจัยสามารถนำไปใช้เป็นข้อมูลเบื้องต้นในการพิจารณาคัดเลือกและจัดหา รวมทั้งการจัดเก็บ วารสารวิชาการทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาต่างประเทศ ให้สอดคล้องและเหมาะสมกับสภาพการใช้และความต้องการของผู้ใช้ รวมทั้งเนื้อที่ของห้องสมุด วิธีดำเนินการวิจัย ผู้วิจัยได้ทำการรวบรวมข้อมูลการใช้วารสารวิชาการภายในสำนักบรรณสารการพัฒนา และรวบรวมข้อมูลจากการยืม-คืน โดยกำหนดระยะเวลาการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลเป็น 2 ช่วงๆ ละ 18 วัน กลุ่มตัวอย่างประชากร คือ วารสารวิชาการภาษาไทย 85 ชื่อ และวารสารวิชาการภาษาต่างประเทศ 341 ชื่อ ผลของการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้ วารสารวิชาการภาษาไทยที่มีการใช้ในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลช่วงที่ 1 มีจำนวน 67 ชื่อ และในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลช่วงที่ 2 มีจำนวน 61 ชื่อ วารสารวิชาการภาษาไทยที่มีการใช้ในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลช่วงที่ 1กับช่วงที่ 2 รวมกัน มีจำนวน 71 ชื่อ คิดเป็นร้อยละ 83.53 ของวารสารวิชาการภาษาไทยที่อยู่ในขอบเขตการวิจัย สำหรับวารสารวิชาการภาษาต่างประเทศมีการใช้ในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลช่วงที่ 1 จำนวน 195 ชื่อ และในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลชาวงที่ 2 มีจำนวน 180 ชื่อ วารสารวิชาการภาษาต่างประเทศที่มีการใช้ในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลช่วงที่ 1 และช่วงที่ 2 รวมกัน มีจำนวน 236 ชื่อ คิดเป็นร้อยละ 69.21 ของวารสารวิชาการภาษาต่างประเทศที่อยู่ในขอบเขตของการวิจัย วารสารวิชาการภาษาไทยที่มีจำนวนความถี่ของการใช้มากในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลช่วงที่ 1 และช่วงที่ 2 รวมกัน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 80.88 ของจำนวนความถี่ของการใช้ทั้งหมด เป็นวารสารร้อยละ 32.94 ของวารสารวิชาการภาษาไทยที่อยู่ในขอบเขตของการวิจัย ในขณะที่วารสารวิชาการภาษาต่างประเทศที่มีจำนวนความถี่ของการใช้มากในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลทั้ง 2 ช่วง รวมกัน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 80.11 เป็นวารสารร้อยละ 24.93 ในด้านความสัมพันธ์ของวารสารที่มีการใช้มากในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลทั้ง 2 ช่วง ปรากฏว่า วารสารวิชาภาษาไทยที่มีการใช้มากกว่า 30 ชื่อแรก ในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลทั้ง 2 ช่วง ปรากฏว่า วารสารวิชาการภาษาไทยที่มีการใช้มาก 30 ชื่อแรก ในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลทั้ง 2 ช่วง มีความสัมพันธ์กันในระดับสูง คือ มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ + 0.63 สำหรับวารสารวิชาการภาษาต่างประเทศที่มีการใช้มาก 30 ชื่อแรก ในช่วงการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลทั้ง 2 ช่วง พบว่า มีความสัมพันธ์กันในระดับต่ำ คือ มีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ + 0.03 วารสารวิชาการภาษาไทยและภาษาต่างประเทศที่มีการใช้มากที่สุด มีอายุระหว่าง 0-5 ปี (ช่วงอายุ 6 ปี) และประเภทวิชาของวารสารที่มีการใช้มากที่สุดทั้งวารสารวิชาการภาษาไทยและภาษาต่างประเทศ คือ ประเภทวิชาเศรษฐศาสตร์และการพาณิชย์ ข้อเสนอแนะสำหรับการวิจัยครั้งต่อไป คือ ควรศึกษาการใช้วารสารโดยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลในช่วงเวลาที่นานกว่านี้ เช่น ตลอดปีการศึกษา และควรนำวิธีการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลวิธีอื่นๆ มาใช้ เช่น ทำบัตรติดไว้ที่ตัววารสารเพื่อบันทึกข้อมูลการใช้ หรือแบบสอบถามเป็นต้น นอกจากนั้น วารสารที่ทำการศึกษา ควรครอบคลุมถึงวารสารที่ได้จากการขอรับบริจาคได้รับเป็นอภินันทนาการ และการแลกเปลี่ยนด้วย |
| Other Abstract: | The Purposes of this research were to study the use of Thai language journals and foreign language journals in the Library and Information Center, National Institute of Development Administration which included the frequency of use, date of publication and the subject fields and to compare the use of Thai language journals with that of foreign language journals in the Library and Information Center. Results of the research can be used as the basis data in considering for selection, acquisition and preservation of both Thai language and foreign language journals in according to the state of use, their needs and the library areas. Survey research method was used in this research. The researcher collected the data through the in-house use and through their circulation records of both Thai language and foreign language journals. The data on the use were collected at 2 intervals, each of which was 18 days long. The samples was 85 titles of Thai language journals and 341 titles of foreign language journals. The findings of the study can be summarized as follow: It was found that 67 and 61 titles of the Thai language journals were used during the first and the second study interval respectively and 71 titles or 83.53 % of the Thai language journals samples were used in both intervals. 195 and 180 titles of the foreign language journals were used during the first and the second study interval respectively and 236 or 69.21 % of the foreign language journals samples were used in both intervals. In both intervals, the most frequently used Thai language journals which frequency 80.88 % of the total use accounted for 32.94 % of the total Thai language journals while the most frequently used foreign language journals which frequency 80.11 % of the total use accounted for 24.93 % of the total foreign language journals. The Spearman Rank-Order Correlation Coefficient for the first 30 most frequently used Thai language journals for both intervals was + 0.63. This meant that the correlation between the most frequently used journals was significantly high. While the coefficient obtained for the foreign language journals was + 0.03 which meant that the correlation between the most frequently used journals was significantly low. For the date of the publication of both most frequently used journals was 0-5 years (age 6 years) and The subject field for most frequently used for both Thai language and foreign language journals was Economics and Commerce. Furthur study on the use of journals in Library and Information Center with longer period of data collection is needed. Other methods of collected data on the use of total journals should be introduced. |
