| Abstract: | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบอำนาจของการทดสอบ 4 วิธีคือการทดสอบที, การทดสอบของวิลด๊อกซอน, การทดสอบของเทอรี่-โฮฟฟ์ติงและการทดสอบของแวน เดอ แวร์เดนเมื่อความแปรปรวนของประชากรเท่ากันและลักษณะการแจกแจงของประชากรเป็นปกติ แบบยูนิฟอร์ม และแบบโลจิสติค ศึกษาเฉพาะกลุ่มตัวอย่าง 2 กลุ่มซึ่งมีขนาดเท่ากันโดยกำหนดขนาดของกลุ่มตัวอย่างเท่ากับ 5, 10, 15 ทำการทดลองด้วยเทคนิคมอนติคาร์โลซิมูลเลชั่นโดยจำลองการทดลองด้วยคอมพิวเตอร์ในการคำนวณหาอัตราความคลาดเคลื่อนประเภทที่ 1 และค่าอำนาจของการทดสอบทั้ง 4 วิธี ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้คือ 1. ถ้าข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์อยู่ในมาตราอันตรภาค (intervalscale) หรือมาตราอัตราส่วน (ratio scale) การทดสอบที (t-test) มีอำนาจของการทดสอบสูงที่สุดเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับการทดสอบอื่นไม่ว่าจะกำหนดอัตราความคลาดเคลื่อนที่ระบุเป็น .05 หรือ .01 นอกจากนี้การทดสอบทีสามารถควบคุมความคลาดเคลื่อนประเภทที่ 1 ได้มากกว่าการทดสอบอื่นและคงทนต่อการฝ่าฝืนข้อตกลงเบื้องต้นในด้านการแจกแจงของประชากรมากกว่าการทดสอบอื่น ซึ่งอาจกล่าวได้ว่าการทดสอบทีมีความแกร่งมากกว่าความแกร่งของการทดสอบอื่นที่นำมาเปรียบเทียบ 2. ถ้าข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์อยู่ในรูปของอันดับ (rank) การทดสอบของเทอรี่-โอฟฟ์ติง (Terry-Hoeffding Normal-Scores Test) และการทดสอบของแวน เดอ แวร์เดน (van der Waerden Normal-Scores Test) มีอำนาจของการทดสอบสูงกว่าการการทดสอบของวิลด๊อกซอน (Wilcoxon Test) การทดสอบของเทอรี่-โฮฟฟ์ดิงและการทดสอบของแวน เดอ แวร์เดนสามารถควบคุมความคลาดเคลื่อนประเภทที่ 1 ได้มากกว่าการทดสอบของวิลด็อกซอน ประการสุดท้ายอำนาจของการทดสอบของเทอรี่-โฮฟฟ์ดิงและอำนาจของการทดสอบของแวน เดอ แวร์เดนมีความแข่งแกร่งมากกว่าอำนาจของการทดสอบของวิลด๊อกซอน ข้อเสนอแนะ 1.เมื่อข้อมูลที่ใช้อยู่ในมาตราอันตรภาคหรือมาตราอัตราส่วนควรเลือกใช้การทดสอบทีทดสอบ 2. ถ้าข้อมูลที่ใช้อยู่ในอันดับควรเลือกใช้การทดสอบของเทอรี่-โฮฟฟ์ดิงหรือการทดสอบของแวน เดอ แวร์เดนทดสอบ |
| Other Abstract: | The purpose of this study was to compare the power of four two-samples tests: t-test, Wilcoxon Test, Terry-Hoeffding Normal-Scores Test, and Van der Waerden Normal-Scores Test. The comparison was made under the equal population variances and different forms of distribution: the normal, the uniform and the logistic. This study was conducted with two groups of equal-size samples: 5, 10 and 15, and by means of Monte Carlo Simulation Technique. A computer was programmed to calculate type I error and power of the designed statistical tests. The findings could be summarized as follows: 1. If the data in the study were in interval scales or ratio scale, the t-test, when compared with the rest, had the highest test power no matter the error rate was either at 0.05 or 0.01. Besides, the t-test could also control type I error rate and robust basic assumptions much better than the other tests. It, thus, finally had more robustness power than the rest. 2. If the data in the study were in ordinal scale, or rank data, it appeared that Terry-Hoeffding Normal-Scores Test and Van der Waerden Normal-Snores Test had the highest test per when compared with Wilcoxon Test. They, thus, finally had more robustness power than Wilcoxon Test. Suggestions: 1. When the data are in interval or ratio scales, t-test should be used. 2. If the data are in ordinal scale, either Terry-Hoeffding Normal-Scores Test or Van der Waerden Normal-Scores Test should be used. |
