| Abstract: | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อสำรวจทรัพยากรห้องสมุด การใช้ทรัพยากรบริการต่างๆของห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยแต่ละแห่งในประเทศไทย และศึกษาการใช้ทรัพยากรร่วมกันของห้องสมุดเหล่านั้น ตลอดจนการประสานงานเป็นโครงข่ายของห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย เพื่อการใช้ทรัพยากรร่วมกัน นอกจากนี้ยังได้ศึกษาถึงปัญหาในการดำเนินงานของห้องสมุดเป็นแนวทางในการปรับปรุงระบบบริหารและบริการทรัพยากรห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยต่อไป รายละเอียดและข้อมูลในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้มาจากหนังสือและสิ่งพิมพ์อื่นๆตลอดจนการสัมภาษณ์บรรณารักษ์ในเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการบริหารทรัพยากรห้องสมุดและความร่วมมือระหว่างห้องสมุด และจากการส่งแบบสอบถามไปยังบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย และได้รับคำตอบรวมทั้งสิ้น 63 ฉบับ คิดเป็นร้อยละ 78.75 ของแบบสอบถามทั้งหมด ผลการวิจัยที่พบมีดังนี้ หอสมุดกลางเป็นห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีบุคลากรและทรัพยากรประเภทต่างๆมากที่สุด และมีผู้ยืมมากที่สุด ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยทุกแห่งมีระเบียบการให้ยืมทรัพยากรห้องสมุด โดยคำนึงถึงประเภทของผู้ใช้บริการและประเภทของสิ่งพิมพ์ บริการที่มีอยู่ในห้องสมุดทุกแห่ง คือ บริการยืม รองลงมาคือ การจัดทำรายชื่อหนังสือใหม่ที่ห้องสมุดได้รับและบริการตอบคำถามและช่วยการค้นคว้า ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยส่วนใหญ่มีความร่วมมือในการใช้ทรัพยากรร่วมกันภายในห้องสมุด การยืมระหว่างห้องสมุด และบริการตอบคำถามและช่วยการค้นคว้าโดยทางโทรศัพท์ ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่มีความร่วมมือกันระหว่างห้องสมุดคณะและหอสมุดกลางในสถาบันเดียวกัน ห้องสมุดส่วนน้อยมีความร่วมมือกับห้องสมุดคณะและหอสมุดกลางต่างสถาบัน อย่างไรก็ดีห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่ระบุว่า ควรมีความร่วมมือระหว่างห้องสมุดทุกประเภทไม่จำกัดเฉพาะห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย ปัญหาที่ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่ประสบ ได้แก่ ห้องสมุดขาดทรัพยากรและบุคลากรผู้ใช้สนใจใช้บริการมากจนให้บริการไม่ทัน ผู้ใช้ห้องสมุดชาดความรู้ในการใช้ห้องสมุดและไม่ปฏิบัติตามกฎของห้องสมุด ส่วนปัญหาเรื่องความร่วมมือกับห้องสมุดอื่นนั้น ห้องสมุดทุกแห่งขาดทรัพยากรห้องสมุด บุคลากร ยานพาหนะ และงบประมาณในการดำเนินงาน จากการสำรวจ ผู้วิจัยใคร่ขอเสนอว่า 1. ควรมีการร่วมมือกันทุกด้านระหว่างห้องสมุดทุกประเภท 2. ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยควรร่วมมือกันจัดทำสหบัตรฉบับรายปี โดยใช้คอมพิวเตอร์ช่วยดำเนินงาน 3. ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยควรได้มีการร่วมกันจัดฝึกอบรมบุคลากรของห้องสมุด 4. ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยควรได้แบ่งสรรกันจัดหาสิ่งพิมพ์ที่มีราคาแพง เพื่อขจัดปัญหาการซื้อสิ่งพิมพ์ราคาแพงซ้ำซ้อน |
| Other Abstract: | The purposes of this research are to survey the library resources, the utilization of these resources and the services of each university library in Thailand, and to study the co-operative net work among these libraries in sharing resources. In addition, the problems of library work are studied in order to provide a guideline for the improvement of administrations and services of these university library resource systems. The information and data shown in this research were obtained from books, other printed materials and interview with some librains in the field of library resource administration and co-operation, and from questionnaires answered by 63 university libraries representing a respondent rate of 78.75% The research results are as follows: The central libraries have more staff, library resources and borrowers than other kinds of university libraries. Every university library has its own lending regulation according to the type of users and publications. Services found in every library are lending service, and in some libraries; acquisition and publication lists and reference service. The majority of university libraries was found to be co-operative in the use of library resources within the libraries, in interlibrary loan, and in reference service by telephone. There is more co-operation between the faculty and central libraries in the same university than there is cooperation between other universities’ libraries. However, most of them pointed out there should be co-coperation among every kind of libraries. The problems which most university libraries face are: inadequacy of library resources and staff, too many clientele using the library service, users lack the knowledge of library usage and do not follow library regulations. The problems of library co-operation are lack of library resources, staff, transportation and budget for efficient operation. After this study the researcher recommends that: 1. There should be co-operation among every kind of libraries. 2. University libraries should have co-operation in publishing annual union catalogs by using computers. 3. University libraries should co-operate to arrange the training program for their staff. 4. University libraries should share the responsibility for acquiring the expensive publications in order to avoid the problem of duplication. |
