| Abstract: | วัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย เพื่อสร้างแบบสอบความสามารถในด้านความเข้าใจในการอ่าน (Reading Comprehension) สำหรับนักเรียนเริ่มเรียนที่ใช้แบบเรียน Jacaranda Individualized Language Arts Program ระดับที่สอง และระดับที่สาม และสำหรับนักเรียนที่ใช้แบบเรียน The Oxford English Course for Thailand เล่มสองและเล่มสาม วิธีวิจัย ผู้วิจัยได้สร้างแบบสอบความสามารถด้านความเข้าใจในการอ่าน จำนวน 3 ชุดแต่ละแบบสอบประกอบด้วยแบบสอบคู่ขนาน (Prarallel form) นำแบบสอบไปทดลองสอบ (Pre-test) กับตัวอย่างประชากรซึ่งเป็นนักเรียนชั้นประถมปีที่ 4 จำนวน 120 คน ชั้นประถมปีที่ 5 จำนวน 138 คน จากโรงเรียนสาธิตเกษตร มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์และนักเรียนชั้นระถมปีที่ 6 จำนวน 100 คน ชั้นปะถมปีที่ 7 จำนวน 103 คน จากโรงเรียนวัดธาตุทอง นำคะแนนที่ได้จากการทดสอบมาวิเคราะห์ข้อสอบเป็นรายข้อ (Item analysis) หาค่าความยาก ค่าอำนาจจำแนก ค่าเฉลี่ย (mean) ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) ความคลาดเคลื่อนมาตรฐานในการวัด (Standard Error of Measurement) ตลอดจนการทดสอบความมีนัยสำคัญของแบบสอบคู่ขนานของข้อสอบแต่ละชุด โดยใช้สูตร Pearson Product-Moment Correlation คัดเลือกข้อสอบที่ดีจากแบบสอบทั้งสองฟอร์ม และรวมเป็นชุดเดียวกัน โดยพิจารณาค่าความยากระหว่าง .20 - .80 และอำนาจจำแนก ตั้งแต่ .30 ขึ้นไป ได้แบบสอบ จำนวน 3 ชุด แต่ละชุดประกอบด้วยข้อความ (Passage) จำนวน 5 ข้อความ และคำถามชนิดเลือกตอบ จำนวน 20 ข้อ ไปทดสอบจริง (Post-test) กับนักเรียนในจังหวัดขอนแก่น จำนวน 1086 คน นำผลการทดสอบจริงมาวิเคราะห์ข้อสอบเป็นรายข้อ หาค่าความยาก ค่าอำนาจจำแนก ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานความเชื่อถือได้ และความคลาดเคลื่อนมาตรฐานในการวัด โดยใช้โปรแกรมอิตานัล (Itanal) ผ่านเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ชนิด I.B.M. 350/145 (I.B.M.350/145 Computer) ของสถาบันเทคโนโลยี่แห่งเอเชีย (Asian Institute of Technology) ผลการวิจัย ได้แบบสอบวัดความสามารถด้านความเข้าใจในการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษสำหรับนักเรียนเริ่มเรียน จำนวน 3 ชุด แต่ละชุดประกอบด้วยข้อความ จำนวน 5 ข้อความ และคำถามชนิดเลือกตอบ จำนวน 20 ข้อ แบบสอบทั้งสามมีระดับความยากกระจายตั้งแต่ง่ายมากจนถึงยากมาก (ค่า p = .13 - .81) ค่าอำนาจจำแนกอยู่ในเกณฑ์ดีมาก (ค่า r/bis = .51) ความเชื่อถือได้ของแบบสอบอยู่ในระดับสูง และมีความตรงตามเนื้อหา |
| Other Abstract: | Statement of the problem The purpose of this study is to construct effective English Reading Comprehension Proficiency Tests for Beginners. The tests were based on individualized language materials, The Jacaranda Individualized Language Arts Programme (JILAP) level 2 and 3 and The Oxford English Course for Thailand, Book II and III. Procedures Three sets of English Reading Comprehension Proficiency Tests were constructed. Each set consists of two parallel forms. The tests were pre-tested with 120 Pratom 4 and 138 Pratom 5 Kasetsart Demontration School students and 100 Pratom 6 and 103 Pratom 7 wat Tat Thong students. Item analyses were performed; and indices of item difficulty and item discrimination were derived in addition to calculating the means, standard deviations, reliabilities and standard errors of measurement of each test. Pearson product-moment correlation were calculated to determine the equivalence of the parallel forms. Z ratio was calculated to determine the difference between means of the two forms of each test. Three tests composed of five passages and 20 multiple choice items were selected from each pair of the pre-tests on the basis of item difficulty (p value between .20 - .80) and discrimination (r bis greater than .30), and combine into a single form. Post-test was administered to 1086 students in rural schools in Khom Kaen Schools. The results were computed by using program ITANAL, and an I.B.M. 350/145 computer at the Asian Institute of Technology. Statistics computed included indices of item difficulty and item discrimination, means, standard deviations, standard errors of means, reliabilities and standard errors of measurement. Results Three effective English Reading Comprehension proficiency tests for beginners were obtained. Each composed of 5 passages and 20 multiple choice items. The major findings from the post-test were that the level of item difficulty varied from very easy to very difficult (p value =.13 - .81). The discrimination power was high. (r bis = .51), the reliabilities of the tests were surprisingly high. The tests also had content validity. |
