| Abstract: | ศึกษาการมีส่วนร่วมในการเลือกหนังสือเข้าห้องสมุดคณะ ของอาจารย์จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ด้านวัตถุประสงค์ ความถี่ รูปแบบและปัญหาในการมีส่วนร่วม รวมไปถึงแนวทางในการส่งเสริมการมีส่วนร่วม เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างอาจารย์และบรรณารักษ์ ในการเลือกหนังสือของห้องสมุดคณะ กลุ่มประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้คือ อาจารย์จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย จาก 16 คณะ จำแนกเป็น 4 กลุ่มสาขาวิชาคือ สังคมศาสตร์ มนุษยศาสตร์ วิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพ และวิทยาศาสตร์กายภาพ และเทคโนโลยี จำนวน 297 คน และได้รับแบบสอบถามกลับคืนมาจากอาจารย์ จำนวน 225 คน คือ คิดเป็น 75.75% ผลการวิจัยพบว่า อาจารย์ส่วนใหญ่ (72.00%) เคยเสนอรายชื่อหนังสือเพื่อการจัดหาเข้าห้องสมุดคณะ และส่วนน้อย (28.00%) ไม่เคยเสนอรายชื่อหนังสือเพื่อการจัดหาเข้าห้องสมุดคณะ อาจารย์ที่มีประสบการณ์เคยเสนอรายชื่อหนังสือเพื่อการจัดหาเข้าห้องสมุดคณะ ส่วนใหญ่เลือกหนังสือตำรา (textbook) ที่เป็นภาษาอังกฤษ มีเนื้อหาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสาขาวิชาที่สอน เพื่อประกอบการสอนนิสิตระดับปริญญาบัณฑิต โดยมีความถี่ในการเลือกหนังสือภาคการศึกษาละ 1 ครั้ง อาจารย์ส่วนใหญ่มีส่วนร่วมในการเลือกหนังสือ เมื่อต้องการให้ห้องสมุดคณะจัดหาหนังสือที่อาจารย์ต้องการ โดยใช้รายชื่อหนังสือใหม่ของสำนักพิมพ์หรือร้านจำหน่าย ที่ห้องสมุดคณะส่งให้อาจารย์โดยตรงในรูปของสิ่งพิมพ์เป็นแหล่งข้อมูลช่วยเลือก เมื่อได้รายชื่อหนังสือที่เลือกแล้วอาจารย์ใช้วิธีการกรอกรายชื่อหนังสือที่ต้องการ ลงแบบฟอร์มที่ห้องสมุดคณะจัดส่งไปให้ โดยห้องสมุดคณะแจ้งผลการจัดหาหนังสือที่อาจารย์เลือกให้อาจารย์ทราบโดยตรง และแจ้งให้ภาควิชาทราบ ปัญหาที่อาจารย์ส่วนใหญ่ประสบคือ ไม่มีเวลาในการเลือกหนังสืออย่างต่อเนื่อง และห้องสมุดคณะมีงบประมาณจำกัด จึงจัดหาหนังสือที่อาจารย์เสนอเพียงบางรายการเท่านั้น แนวทางในการส่งเสริมการมีส่วนที่อาจารย์มีความต้องการในระดับมากคือ อาจารย์แต่ละคนสามารถมีส่วนร่วมในการเลือกหนังสือได้อย่างอิสระ โดยเว็บไซต์ห้องสมุดคณะมีรายชื่อหนังสือใหม่ของห้องสมุด และปรับปรุงให้ทันสมัยอยู่เสมอ บรรณารักษ์ติดต่อขอความร่วมมือจากอาจารย์ เพื่อเลือกหนังสือเข้าห้องสมุดคณะผ่านภาควิชา ห้องสมุดคณะจัดส่งแบบฟอร์มพร้อมรายชื่อหนังสือที่เสนอให้ห้องสมุด จัดซื้อผ่านไปรษณีย์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ และถ้าหนังสือที่อาจารย์เสนอแนะเป็นรายการซ้ำที่มีอยู่ในห้องสมุด อาจารย์ต้องการให้ห้องสมุดคณะแจ้งให้อาจารย์ทราบทันที |
| Other Abstract: | To examine the participation in library book selection by faculty members of Chulalongkorn University involving the objectives, frequency, methods, and problems as well as the way to support the participation on order to guide the development of the participation in library book selection between faculty members and librarians. The research population was 297 faculty members of Chulalongkorn University from 16 faculties that can be categorized to 4 discipline areas: Social Science, Humanities, Natural Science, and Physical Science and Technology. There were 225 returned questionnaires (75.75%) The findings indicated that most of faculty members (72.00%) had ever suggested the list of books for the acquisition in the Faculty's library and the minority of faculty members (28.00%) had never suggested. Most of the faculty members who had ever suggested the books selected English textbooks in the same subject that they must teach during the academic to serve the teaching undergraduates frequently about 1 time per semester. The majority of faculty members participated in library book selection when they would like Faculty's library acquire the books they needed by consulting the printed list of new books from the publishers or the vendors. When the faculty members got the list of wanted books, they filled in the forms, provided by library. The Faculty's library informed the result of the acquisition to the faculty members directly and also to the department. Problems most of the lecturers experienced were that the lecturers had no time to select the books continously and the Faculty's library had inadequate budget to acquire all suggested books. The needed guidelines to support the participation at the high level were the freedom in book selection, having the list of new books on the Faculty library's websites currently and continuously, contacting the lecturers via the department for the participation in book selection, sending the acquisition forms and the list of book by e-mail, and informing immediately if the Faculty's library already had such items. |
