| Abstract: | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการดำเนินงานวัสดุย่อส่วนในด้านงานเทคนิค การบริการ ตลอดจนปัญหาที่ประสบในห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษา ทั้งในส่วนกลางและส่วนภูมิภาค ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่มีนโยบายจัดเก็บเอกสารสิ่งพิมพ์ ไว้ในรูปวัสดุย่อส่วน เพื่อประหยัด เนื้อที่จัดเก็บ และนำมาใช้ในงานพัฒนาทรัพยากร งานบริการตอบคำถามและช่วยการค้นคว้า ห้องสมุดส่วนใหญ่มีบรรณารักษ์เป็นผู้รับผิดชอบในการจัดหา มีห้องสมุดที่ผลิตเอง เพียง 14 แห่ง การจัดหมู่และทำบัตรรายการส่วนใหญ่ใช้กฎ แองโกล-อเมริกัน ฉบับพิมพ์ครั้งที่ 2 การจัดเรียงได้จัดตามลำดับเลขทะเบียนไว้ในตู้เหล็ก ภายในห้องปรับอากาศ การบริการ บริการทั้งวัสดุย่อส่วนและตัวเล่มตามความต้องการของผู้ใช้ให้ใช้ภายในห้องสมุด มีคู่มือช่วยค้นในรูปบัตรรายการ ปัญหาในการดำเนินงานวัสดุย่อส่วนที่ห้องสมุดประสบมากที่สุด คือ รูปแบบของวัสดุย่อส่วนไม่เป็น ที่นิยมของผู้ใช้ และจำนวนผู้ใช้บริการวัสดุย่อส่วนมีน้อย เกินไปไม่คมกับค่าใช้จ่ายอันสูงในการดำเนินงาน |
| Other Abstract: | The objectives of this research are to study the operation of microforms in technical and reader's services as well as the problems of the academic Library in the Central and rural area. The result of the research indicates that most Libraries have policy to keep printed materials in microforms for space saving, resources developing and reference service. In most libraries. Librarians take responsibility in microforms acquisition. Only 14 libraries have microforms reproduced in the libraries. For cataloging most libraries use Anglo - American Cataloguing Rules second edition. Microforms are stored in steel cabinet in air - conditioning rooms. They are filed by accession numbers. For reader's services both microforms and original copies are provided for users to use in the libraries. Card catalogs are the only tool for searching. Microforms operation problems are that users are not satisfy with the variety of microforms format. Also microforms users are too few comparing to the high cost of operation. |
