dc.description.abstractalternative | The purposes of this research were to study the assertive behavior of nurse administrators as perceived by themselves which compose of freedom, self-control, right, responsibility and communication, and to compare the assertive behavior of nurse administrators between level of administration, work setting, age and income in regional hospital and medical centers, Ministry of Public Health The subjects were 359 nurse administrators. The instrument was questionnaire developed by the researcher. The major finding were as follow; 1. The assertive behaviors nurse administrators concerning freedom, self-control, right, responsibility and communication were at "high" level. 2. The assertive behaviors classified by level of administration were not statistically significant different at .05 level. But self-control behavior of the top administrators were higher than the lower administrators. 3. The assertive behaviors classified by work setting were statistically significant different at .05 level. The nurse administrators who worked in outpatient setting had more assertive behaviors than who worked in surgical setting. 4. The assertive behaviors classified by age were statistically significant defferent at .01 level. The older nurse administrators had more assertive behaviors than the younger. 5. The assertive behaviors classified by income were statistically significant different at .01 level. Nurse administrators with high income had more assertive behaviors than the low income. | - |
