| Abstract: | การศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างโปรตีนที่จับกับฮอร์โมนเพศ (SHBG) กับฮอร์โมนเพศในซีรัมของลิงหางยาว ที่เลี้ยงไว้ในศูนย์วิจัยไพรเมท คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย โดยศึกษาในซีรัมลิงเพศเมียโตเต็มวัยในระหว่างรอบประจำเดือน ลิงเพศเมียโตเต็มที่ถูกตัดรังไข่ออกทั้ง 2 ข้าง ลิงเพศผู้โตเต็มวัย และลิงวัยเด็กทั้งเพศเมียและเพศผู้ วิเคราะห์ระดับ SHBG ในซีรัมโดยวิธีตกตะกอนด้วยแอมโมเนียซัลเฟต และวิเคราะห์ระดับโปรเจสเตอโรน เทสทอสเตอโรนและเอสตราไดออล โดยวิธีเรดิโออิมมูโนเอสเสย์ ผลการศึกษา พบว่า ระดับ SHBG และโปรเจสเตอโรนในช่วง luteal phase ค่าเฉลี่ย (± SEM) 341.44 ± 23.97, 10.26 ± 0.38 นาโนโมล/ลิตร มีระดับมากกว่าในช่วง follicular phase ค่าเฉลี่ย (± SEM) 249.12 ± 16.17, 1.71 ± 0.15 นาโนโมล/ลิตร อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) ส่วนระดับเทสทอสเตอโรน และเอสตราไดออลในช่วง follicular phase และ luteal phase มีค่าเฉลี่ย (± SEM) 1.61 ± 0.73, 1.31 ± 0.04 และ 0.23 ± 0.014, 0.19 ± 0.014 นาโนโมล/ลิตร ตามลำดับ ซึ่งไม่มีความแตกต่างกันทั้งสองช่วงของรอบประจำเดือน (p>0.05) เมื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง SHBG กับฮอร์โมนเพศในระหว่างรอบประจำเดือนของลิงเพศเมียโตเต็มวัย พบว่า ระดับโปรเจสเตอโรนมีความสัมพันธ์โดยตรงกับระดับ SHBG มากที่สุด (r=0.49) เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง SHBG และระดับเอสตราไดออล (r=0.07) และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง SHBG กับเทสทอสเตอโรน (r=0.11) การศึกษาระดับ SHBG โปรเจสเตอโรน เทอทอสเตอโรน และเอสตราไดออลในซีรัมลิงที่ถูกตัดรังไข่มีระดับ 300.3, 1.87, 1.41 และ 0.13 นาโนโมล/ลิตร ลิงเพศผู้โตเต็มวัยมีระดับ 113.9, 0.93, 19.85 และ 0.076 นาโนโมล/ลิตร ลิงวัยเด็กเพศเมียมีระดับ 859.1, 0.59, 1.07 และ 0.14 นาโนโมล/ลิตร ลิงวัยเด็กเพศผู้มีระดับ 411.8, 0.82, 0.72 และ 0.12 นาโนโมล/ลิตร ตามลำดับ ผลการศึกษาครั้งนี้ อาจสรุปได้ว่าฮอร์โมนโปรเจสเตอโรนมีแนวโน้มการเปลี่ยนแปลงสอดคล้องกับระดับ SHBG ในซีรัมของลิงที่โตเต็มวัยเพศเมีย ลิงเพศเมียที่ถูกตัดรังไข่ และลิงเพศผู้โตเต็มวัยแต่การเปลี่ยนแปลงนี้จะไม่สอดคล้องกันในลิงวัยเด็กของทั้งสองเพศ |
| Other Abstract: | The relationship between serum sex steroids and sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) in cynomolgus monkeys, Macaca fascicularis was studied These monkeys were housed at The Primate Research Center of Chulalongkorn University. The study was carried out in adult cycling females, ovariectomized females, adult males, as well as immature male and female monkeys. Serum SHBG and sex hormones were determined by the ammonium sulphate precipitation technique and radioimmunoassay respectively. Serum levels of SHBG (341.4 ± 23.9 nmol/L) and progesterone (P) (10.26 ± 0.38 nmol/L) during the luteal phase were significantly higher than those found during follicular phase (SHBG = 249.1 ± 16.2, P = 1.7 ± 0.15 nmol/L) of the normal menstrual cycle while serum levels of testosterone (T) and estradiol-17β (E₂) were not altered during these two phases. Moreover, serum levels of P showed higher relationship with SHBG (r=0.49) than those found with T (r=0.11) and E₂ (r=0.07). Serum levels of SHBG, P, T and E₂ in ovariectomized females were 300.3, 1.87, 1.41 and 0.13 nmol/L; in adult males were 113.9, 0.93, 19.85 and 0.076 nmol/L; in immature female were 859.1, 0.95, 1.07 and 0.14 nmol/L and in immature male 411.8, 0.82, 0.72 and 0.12 nmol/L, respectively. These results indicated that higher serum levels of P, but not T and E₂ could be able to maintain high levels of SHBG in adult male and female monkeys irrespective of the absence or the presence of the gonads. However, such evidence does not exist in immature monkey. |
