Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to develop a teamwork orientation scale from Goldberg (1999) Personality I nventory. Item selection procedure has been done by regressing 30 personality facets on team effectiveness which consists of team member satisfaction, team cohesiveness, and team viability's questionnaires (Siriporn Sophonthammatorn, 2005) using stepwise method. The regression analysis showed that Cheerfulness, Sympathy, Gregariousness and Orderliness predict team performance significantly (R 2 = .30). Final Teamwork Orientation Scale comprised of 38 items from the 4 personality facets with Cronbach's alpha coefficient of .76, .66, .69, and .76, respectively.
