dc.description.abstract	สารนิพนธ์นี้มุ่งศึกษาแนวทางการแปลนวนิยายเรื่อง Pride and Prejudice ของเจน ออสเตน (Jane Austen) ในประเทศไทย และปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อการเลือกแนวทางในการแปล โดยใช้ทฤษฎีการแปลวรรณกรรมของวัลยา วิวัฒน์ศร ทฤษฎีการประเมินงานแปลของคาทารินา ไรส์ ทฤษฎีสโคพอสของคาทารินา ไรส์และฮันส์ แฟร์เมียร์ และทฤษฎีการแปลของอองเดร เลอเฟอแวร์ ในประเทศไทย มีผู้นำเรื่อง Pride and Prejudice มาแปลโดยมิได้ใช้วิธีการดัดแปลง 2 สำนวนด้วยกัน คือ สำนวน “สาวทรงเสน่ห์” แปลโดย “จูเลียต” หรือ ชนิด สายประดิษฐ์ เมื่อ พ.ศ. 2489 และสำนวน“อหังการและอคติ” จัดพิมพ์โดย สำนักพิมพ์คลาสสิกเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2549 โดยไม่สามารถระบุผู้เป็นบรรณาธิการแปลและเรียบเรียงได้ว่าคือ “แก้วคำทิพย์ ไชย” หรือ “ปฐมา พรหมสรร” เนื่องจากความผิดพลาดของข้อมูลบนตัวหนังสือ แต่จากข้อมูลทั้งหมด ผู้วิจัยพบว่า การระบุดังกล่าวไม่มีความสำคัญ เพราะข้อมูลทั้งหมดชี้ให้เห็นว่า แนวทางในการแปล น่าจะเกิดจากนโยบายของสำนักพิมพ์มากกว่าเกิดจากตัวผู้แปล ดังนั้นผู้วิจัยจึงจะมุ่งวิเคราะห์ ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อสำนักพิมพ์คลาสสิกในฐานะผู้มีอำนาจกำหนดให้ผู้แปลใช้แนวทางการแปลแนว เรียบเรียงในการถ่ายทอดสำนวนดังกล่าว ผลการศึกษาพบว่า สำนวน “สาวทรงเสน่ห์” มีแนวทางการแปลแนวรักษาต้นฉบับ และ สำนวน “อหังการและอคติ” มีแนวทางการแปลแนวเรียบเรียง โดยปัจจัยทางสังคมและ วัฒนธรรมที่มีผลต่อแนวทางการแปลของทั้งสองสำนวน ผู้วิจัยพบว่า ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อแนวทางการแปลแนวรักษาต้นฉบับของสำนวน “สาวทรงเสน่ห์” คือ ปัจจัยคตินิยม และปัจจัย ผู้อุปถัมภ์ ปัจจัยคตินิยม ได้แก่ หลักการสำคัญของผู้แปล และการให้ความสำคัญกับสถานภาพของตัวบทต้นฉบับ ปัจจัยผู้อุปถัมภ์ ได้แก่ หนังสือพิมพ์ประชามิตร-สุภาพบุรุษ คุณกุหลาบ สายประดิษฐ์ คุณมาลัย ชูพินิจ และกลุ่มผู้อ่าน สำหรับสำนวน “อหังการและอคติ” ผู้วิจัย พบว่า การเลือกแนวทางการแปลแนวเรียบเรียงมีอิทธิพลมาจาก ปัจจัยผู้อุปถัมภ์ คือ สำนักพิมพ์คลาสสิก ขนบทางวรรณศิลป์การแปลแนวเรียบเรียงซึ่งเป็นที่นิยมสำหรับการแปล วรรณกรรมเยาวชน และคตินิยมในเรื่องของกฎหมายลิขสิทธิ์ใน 9 ประเทศที่สำนักพิมพ์เลือก งานของนักเขียนจากประเทศเหล่านี้มาแปล อนึ่ง จากสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้ว่า ปัจจัยด้านผู้แปลและผู้อุปถัมภ์ส่งผลให้แนวทางการแปลนวนิยายเรื่อง Pride and Prejudice ทั้ง 2 สำนวน มีความแตกต่างกัน ผู้วิจัยพบว่า ในกรณี ของสำนวน “สาวทรงเสน่ห์” ผลการวิจัยสอดคล้องกับสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้ ในขณะที่กรณีของ นวน “อหังการและอคติ” ผลการวิจัยบางส่วนไม่สอดคล้องกับสมมติฐานที่ตั้งไว้ กล่าวคือ ปัจจัยผู้แปลไม่มีผลต่อการเลือกแนวทางการแปลแนวเรียบเรียง แต่ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเลือก แนวทางการแปลดังกล่าวคือ ผู้อุปถัมภ์ ขนบวรรณศิลป์ และคตินิยม	en_US
dc.description.abstractalternative	This special research examines translations of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice in Thailand and analyzes the factors that influence the translator using different mode of translation. In this study, the researcher applies the translation theories of Walaya Wiwatsorn, Katharina Reiss, Hans Vermeer, and André Lefevere as a framework for analysis. In Thailand there are two translations of the Pride and Prejudice which do not use the adaptation mode. The first is the 1946 translation of “Sao Song Sanae” translated by Juliet or Mrs. Chanid Saipradit. The second is the translation of “A-Hang- Karn Lae A-Ka-Ti” translated by a translation editor affiliated to the Classic Publisher in 2006. However, it is unclear whether the translation editor is “Kaewkumtip Chai” or “Patama Phromsun, according to the incorrectness of the book information. More investigations thus followed and it can be concluded that to identify the translation editor is not necessary as several evidences show that the Classic Publisher plays an important role in choosing the mode of translation. The study found that the translator of “Sao Song Sanae” employed the translation mode while the translator of “A-Hang-Karn Lae A-Ka-Ti” used the rearrangement mode. The translation mode of “Sao Song Sanae” was influenced by two contributing factors, ideology and patronage. The ideology of the translator of “Sao Song Sanae” comprises her key translation principle as well as her revered regard for the original text, while the patronage consists of the Prachamit-Suparb Burus Newspaper, Mr. Kulap Saipradit, Mr. Malai Chupinij and readers. For the translation of “A-Hang-Karn Lae A-Ka-Ti”, the rearrangement mode was influenced by three contributing factors including patronage (relating to the Classic Publisher), poetics (which relates to the popularity of the rearrangement mode in children’s literature), and ideology. This last refers to the impact of the copyright laws of 9 countries: the Classic Publisher translates the works of writers from these countries. This study tests the hypothesis that the identity of the translator and patronage are contributing factors responsible for the difference in the modes of the two Pride and Prejudice’s translations. The finding of “Sao Song Sa Nae” case confirms the hypothesis while the result from “A-Hang-Karn Lae A-Ka-Ti” case does not completely support the hypothesis. Namely, the research found that the identity of the translator is not a contributing factor. Instead, patronage, poetics, and ideological factors are largely responsible for the arrangement mode of this translation.	en_US
