| Abstract: | วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มุ่งศึกษาเปรียบเทียบมหาชาติกลอนเทศน์สำนวนเจ้าพระยาพระคลัง (หน) กับอรรถกถาชาดก และมหาชาติภาษาไทยสำนวนอื่นที่แต่งก่อนหน้า ทั้งด้านเนื้อหา และกลวิธีทางวรรณศิลป์ เพื่อให้เห็นลักษณะเฉพาะของมหาชาติกลอนเทศน์สำนวนนี้ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า มหาชาติกลอนเทศน์สำนวนเจ้าพระยาพระคลัง (หน) ใช้วิธีปรับเปลี่ยนรายละเอียดของเนื้อเรื่องในอรรถกถาจำนวน 7 วิธี ได้แก่ การตัดเนื้อเรื่อง การเพิ่มเนื้อเรื่อง การเพิ่มรายละเอียดของเนื้อเรื่อง การตัดรายละเอียดของเนื้อเรื่อง การตัดรายละเอียดและรวบความในเนื้อเรื่อง การเปลี่ยนรายละเอียดของเนื้อเรื่อง และการสลับลำดับของเหตุการณ์ในเนื้อเรื่อง ในขณะที่มหาชาติคำหลวงและกาพย์มหาชาติยึดเนื้อเรื่องตามอรรถกถาเป็นหลัก ทำให้มหาชาติกลอนเทศน์สำนวนเจ้าพระยาพระคลัง (หน) มีเนื้อเรื่องในรายละเอียดที่แตกต่างออกไปอย่างเห็นได้ชัด มหาชาติกลอนเทศน์สำนวนเจ้าพระยาพระคลัง (หน) ยังสืบทอดขนบบางประการจากอรรถกถาชาดก มหาชาติคำหลวง และกาพย์มหาชาติ ในขณะเดียวกันก็ได้สร้างสรรค์ลักษณะเฉพาะบางประการขึ้นมา มหาชาติกลอนเทศน์สำนวนเจ้าพระยาพระคลัง (หน) จึงมีทั้งขนบและลักษณะสร้างสรรค์อยู่ด้วยกันอย่างกลมกลืน ประกอบกับลักษณะทางวรรณศิลป์ที่เจ้าพระยาพระคลัง (หน) ได้แต้มแต่งไว้อย่างประณีตด้วยกลวิธีที่หลากหลาย ทั้งการเล่นเสียงสัมผัส การสรรคำ การซ้ำคำ และการใช้ภาพพจน์ ทำให้มหาชาติกลอนเทศน์สำนวนเจ้าพระยาพระคลัง (หน) มีความโดดเด่นเป็นพิเศษในด้านการใช้ภาษาที่ก่อให้เกิดอารมณ์สะเทือนใจและประทับใจในโพธิสัตวบารมีทานอันเลิศล้ำ ทำให้มหาชาติกลอนเทศน์สำนวนเจ้าพระยาพระคลัง (หน) เป็นมหาชาติที่โดดเด่นและวรรณคดีที่เปรียบประดุจเพชรน้ำหนึ่งของไทย |
| Other Abstract: | The purpose of this thesis is to compare Mahachat klon thet of Chaophraya Phrakhlang (Hon) with Jatakatthakatha and previous Thai versions of Mahachats, Mahachat Kham Luang and Kab Mahachat, in contents and literary techniques in order to point out the characteristics of Mahachat Klon Thet of Chaophraya Phrakhlang (Hon). The study reveals that Mahachat Klon Thet of Chaophraya Phrakhlang (Hon) appears 7 techniques of content adaptations compared to Jatakatthakatha: content deletion, content appending, detail deletion, detail appending, detail deletion with story combination, detail changing and changing of story orders. The mentioned techniques supports Mahachat Klon Thet of Chaophraya Phrakhlang (Hon) the crucial difference to Mahachat Kham Luang and Kab Mahachat which more strictly follows the story of Jatakatthakatha. However, Mahachat Klon Thet of Chaophraya Phrakhlang (Hon) follows some conventions from Jatakatthakatha, Mahachat Kham Luang and Kab Mahachat. Meanwhile, it has its own innovative ways of showing literary techniques. As a result, Mahachat Klon Thet of Chaophraya Phrakhlang (Hon) harmoniously includes in itself conventions and innovations. As using of the neat literary techniques: the use of alliterations, the splendid word selection, the reduplication and the use of figures of speech, Mahachat Klon Thet of Chaophraya Phrakhlang (Hon) is distinguished in conveying emotional feelings and impression of Bhodhisatta’s perfection of foremost alms. Thus, Mahachat Klon Thet of Chaophraya Phrakhlang (Hon) becomes the high prominent mahachat as one of the first grade diamond of Thai literatures. |
