| Abstract: | ศึกษาลักษณะทางกลสัทศาสตร์ของพยางค์ที่ได้รับการลงเสียงหนัก และพยางค์ที่ไม่ได้รับการลงเสียงหนักในภาษามลายูถิ่นปัตตานีและภาษาอูรักลาโวยอ์ ทั้งในเรื่องค่าความเข้ม ค่าระยะเวลา และค่าความถี่มูลฐาน เพื่อพิสูจน์สมมติฐานว่า ค่าความถี่มูลฐานของสระในพยางค์ที่ได้รับการลงเสียงหนักและพยางค์ ที่ไม่ได้รับการลงเสียงหนักในภาษาทั้งสองแตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ส่วนค่าความเข้มและค่าระยะเวลาแตกต่างกันอย่างไม่มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ สอดคล้องกับรูปแบบความสัมพันธ์ของระดับเสียงกับการลงเสียงหนักเบาในภาษาระดับเสียง-ลงเสียงหนักเบาอื่นๆ ข้อมูลที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยได้มาจากการบันทึกเสียงผู้บอกภาษาเพศชายที่พูดภาษามลายูถิ่นปัตตานี 7 คน และผู้บอกภาษาเพศหญิงที่พูดภาษาอูรักลาโวยอ์ 7 คน และนำมาวิเคราะห์ค่าทางกลสัทศาสตร์โดยใช้โปรแกรม Praat 5.1.20 และคำนวณค่านัยสำคัญทางสถิติด้วยโปรแกรม Microsoft Excel โดยใช้ t-test กำหนดระดับนัยสำคัญที่ p<0.05 และนำเสนอผลการวิจัยด้วยกราฟและรูปภาพประกอบการบรรยาย ผลจากการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า โดยภาพรวม ในภาษามลายูถิ่นปัตตานี ค่าความถี่มูลฐานของสระในพยางค์ลงเสียงหนักและในพยางค์ไม่ลงเสียงหนักเท่านั้นที่แตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ส่วนในภาษาอูรักลาโวยอ์ ค่าความเข้ม ค่าระยะเวลา และค่าความถี่มูลฐานของสระในพยางค์ลงเสียงหนักและในพยางค์ไม่ลงเสียงหนักแตกต่างกัน อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทั้งสามค่า สะท้อนให้เห็นว่า ภาษามลายูถิ่นปัตตานีมีพฤติกรรมคล้ายคลึงกับภาษาระดับเสียง-ลงเสียงหนักเบา (pitch-accent language) ที่ระดับเสียงกับการลงเสียงหนักเบามีความสัมพันธ์กัน ในขณะที่ภาษาอูรักลาโวยอ์ มีพฤติกรรมคล้ายคลึงกับภาษาที่มีระบบลงเสียงหนักเบา (stress language) |
| Other Abstract: | To study the acoustic characteristics of vowels in the stressed and unstressed syllables of Pattani Malay and in Urak Lawoi’. The intensity, duration and fundamental frequency values were investigated to test the hypotheses that the difference between the fundamental frequency values of vowels in stressed and unstressed syllables in both languages is statistically significant while the intensity and duration values are not. This finding indicates a close relation between pitch and the accentual system as in pitch-accent languages. The data used in this research was recorded from 7 male native speakers of Pattani Malay and from 7 female native speakers of Urak Lawoi’, was acoustically analysed using Praat 5.1.20 and statistically analysed using t-test (0.05 level of significance). The research results are presented in tables and figures with descriptions. These findings reveal that, in Pattani Malay, only the difference between the fundamental frequencies of vowels in stressed and unstressed syllables are statistically significant, while in Urak Lawoi’, all three acoustic characteristics; i.e. the intensity, duration and fundamental frequency values of vowels in stressed and unstressed syllables are statistically significant. Some behaviour of stressed syllables in Pattani Malay resembles that of accented syllables in pitch-accent languages, while the behaviour of stressed syllables in Urak Lawoi’ is similar to that of accented syllables in stress languages. |
