Abstract:	วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษากลวิธีการประพันธ์ของนวนิยายเรื่องเงาสีขาวและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างนวนิยายกับขนบนวนิยายเชิงอัตชีวประวัติ รวมถึงศึกษากระบวนการสร้างตัวตนผ่านเรื่องเล่าในนวนิยายเรื่องดังกล่าว ผลการวิจัยพบว่าเงาสีขาวใช้กลวิธีการเริ่มต้นอย่างซ้ำซ้อนและการลำดับเวลาให้ขาดตอนเพื่อสะท้อนตัวตนที่ยังอยู่ระหว่างกระบวนการประกอบสร้าง นวนิยายเรื่องนี้นำเสนอการเล่าเรื่องที่สับสนแปรปรวนเหมือนคนบ้าด้วยการแทรกบทพรรณนา การแสดงความเห็น และการเล่าออกนอกเรื่องเข้ามาขัดจังหวะการหวนนึกถึงอดีตของผู้เล่าอย่างต่อเนื่อง การเล่าเรื่องของคนบ้าถูกใช้เพื่อการก้าวข้ามกรอบศีลธรรมที่เป็นอุปสรรคต่อการทำความเข้าใจ ผู้เล่าหันกลับสู่การครุ่นคิดในโลกภายใน โดยเรื่องราวต่างๆ ในอดีตถูกกรองผ่านมุมมองของเขาและถูกเล่าในทางตรงและทางอ้อมแตกต่างกันไป ขณะเดียวกันผู้เล่าได้ใช้กลวิธีกระแสสำนึกและบทรำพึงในใจในการสะท้อนตัวตนภายในผ่านการถ่ายทอดประสบการณ์ต่างๆ ออกมาเป็นภาษา การกลับมาทบทวนอดีตทำให้เขาเห็นอดีตมากกว่าที่เคยเห็น เนื่องจากเป็นการเห็นที่เชื่อมโยงกับการรู้ ขณะเดียวกันการใช้มุมมองการสารภาพทำให้ผู้เล่าเห็นอดีตที่มีแต่ด้านมืดและความล้มเหลว แม้ว่าผู้เล่าหันสู่โลกภายในก็ตามแต่เขาก็จำเป็นต้องอ้างอิงอยู่กับโลกภายนอกเนื่องจากพื้นที่ทางศีลธรรมในโลกภายนอกมีความสำคัญสำหรับการระบุตัวตนของเขา นอกจากนี้ นวนิยายเชิงอัตชีวประวัติเรื่องนี้ไม่ได้ถูกผูกขาดจากเสียงเล่าของ “ฉัน” เท่านั้น แต่กลับมีเสียงอื่นแทรกเข้ามาด้วย ซึ่งเสียงอื่นนี่เองที่กลับทำให้เสียงของฉันมีความหมาย หรือทำให้ผู้เล่าสามารถนิยามตัวตนของเขาได้ การกลับมาทบทวนอดีตของผู้เล่าทำให้เขาค้นพบตัวเองผ่านยอมรับชีวิตที่ผ่านมาและทำให้เสียงเล่าในเงาสีขาวเงียบหายไปในท้ายที่สุด กลวิธีการเล่าเรื่องต่างๆ ของเงาสีขาวสะท้อนตัวตนที่อยู่ระหว่างกระบวนการประกอบสร้างที่ยังไม่เสร็จสิ้น และกลวิธีการเล่าเรื่องที่ซับซ้อนยังสะท้อนตัวตนที่ยอกย้อน กระจัดกระจาย และไม่เป็นหนึ่งเดียว รวมถึงสะท้อนความยากในการประกอบสร้างตัวตนผ่านเรื่องเล่าท่ามกลางข้อจำกัดทางศีลธรรม
Other Abstract:	The purpose of this thesis is to study the narrative technique of Daen-aran Saeng thong’s novel Ngao Si Khao, the relationship between the novel and the autobiographical novel and the process of self-constructing through the narrative of the novel. The research shows that Ngao Si Khao employs the multiplication of beginning and the discontinuity of time sequences in order to reflect the ‘self’ during the process of constructing. The novel presents an insane and confused narration by using descriptive dialogues, comments and excursion which continuously interrupt the retrospection of the narrator’s past. Madman’s narration technique is used in order to destroy moral standard of values and causes it difficult to understand. The narrator also looks invert to his inner self by presenting, directly and indirectly, past events through his point of view. At the same time, the narrator uses stream of consciousness and interior monologue techniques to reflect his ‘self’ through past experiences. The retrospection also allows the narrator to see the past more thoroughly than before, as the seeing was linked to a stage of perception. In the meantime, his confessionary perspective causes him to perceive only darkness and failures in the past. Even though he immersed himself in his interior world, it is still necessary to refer to the outside world because moral space in the outside world is important to identify his ‘self’. In fact, this autobiographical novel does not manipulate only from the voice of “I”, there is also the involvement of the other voices. These voices cause the voice of “I” to be more meaningful and able to define the ‘self’. The retrospection caused the narrator to discover himself and accept past experiences until the narrator’s voice of Ngao Si Khao is quiet. Narrative technique of the novel Ngao Si Khao reflects the not-yet-finished construction process of the ‘self’ and reflects the complexity, the diffuseness, the paradox and the dissonance of the self. Besides, this novel reflects the difficulty of self-constructing process through the narrative under the limitation of morals.
