| Abstract: | ศึกษาความพยายามของกลุ่มผู้นำรัฐในช่วงหลังการเปลี่ยนแปลงการปกครอง ระหว่าง พ.ศ. 2475-2487 ในการปรับปรุงหลักสูตรและเนื้อหาของแบบเรียนให้สอดคล้องกับการปกครองในระบอบใหม่ การกล่อมเกลาทางการเมืองผ่านแบบเรียนมีความสำคัญต่อการเมืองการปกครองภายหลังการปฏิวัติใน พ.ศ. 2475 ในฐานะที่เป็นสื่อถ่ายทอดอุดมการณ์ของการปกครองระบอบใหม่ลงสู่เยาวชน โดยประเด็นของการกล่อมเกลาทางการเมืองในแบบเรียนนั้นมุ่งเน้นไปที่การกล่อมเกลาให้นักเรียนตระหนักในหน้าที่ของพลเมืองดีตามระบอบรัฐธรรมนูญ และการกล่อมเกลาให้นักเรียนเข้าใจและเลื่อมใสระบอบการปกครองดังกล่าว โดยเนื้อหาสาระของทั้งสองประเด็นนี้ได้ถูกปรับเปลี่ยนไปตามบริบททางการเมืองและสังคม ตลอดจนแนวคิดของกลุ่มผู้นำทางการเมืองในแต่ละช่วง กล่าวคือ ในช่วงก่อนการประกาศใช้รัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรสยาม พุทธศักราช 2475 หรือระหว่างเดือนมิถุนายน ถึงธันวาคม 2475 เนื้อหาของแบบเรียนในช่วงนี้อธิบายเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการปกครองระบอบใหม่ไว้เพียงสั้นๆ ในช่วงต่อมาคือหลังการประกาศใช้รัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรสยาม พุทธศักราช 2475 หรือระหว่าง พ.ศ. 2476-2477 การอธิบายเรื่องดังกล่าวมีความชัดเจนมากขึ้น โดยยึดข้อความของรัฐธรรมนูญแห่งราชอาณาจักรสยามฯ เป็นหลัก หลังปี พ.ศ. 2478 คณะราษฎรรุ่นหนุ่มทั้งสายทหารและพลเรือนมีบทบาทสูงเด่นในการบริหารประเทศ และได้ประกาศใช้หลักสูตรสำหรับชั้นประถมและมัธยมศึกษา พ.ศ. 2480 ทำให้แบบเรียนที่ออกตามหลักสูตรนี้มีความสอดคล้องกับแนวคิดของกลุ่มดังกล่าว คือมุ่งเน้นไปที่การปลูกฝังอุดมการณ์ชาตินิยม-ทหารนิยม และ การพิทักษ์รักษารัฐธรรมนูญเป็นหลัก ในช่วง พ.ศ. 2481-2487 ซึ่งจอมพล ป.พิบูลสงคราม เป็นนายกรัฐมนตรีนั้น พบว่ามีการเพิ่มเติมนโยบายสร้างชาติ ซึ่งเป็นนโยบายสำคัญของรัฐบาลชุดนี้เป็นอีกประเด็นหนึ่งของการกล่อมเกลาทางการเมืองในแบบเรียน |
| Other Abstract: | Focuses on the post-1932 revolution political elite's efforts to customize the educational curriculum and textbooks in line with the new political regime during the period 1932-1944. Political socialization through textbooks was significant to the politics and administration of the post-1932 period in that it conveyed to the country's youth the principles and ideals of the new regime. Students were thus taught to be aware of their duties as good citizens within constitutional system, and to understand and have faith in that system of government. The contents of the curriculum and textbooks varied according to the political and social contexts, and according to the ideas of different political leaders in the 1932-1944 period. During the period prior to the promulgation of the 1932 constitution, between June and December 1932, the contents of the textbooks only briefly explained the new political system. But from 1933 till 1934 the explanations became clearer, besed on the contents of the constitution. Following the year 1935, when the younger members of the People's Party, from both its civilian and military wings, assumed a larger role in ruling the country, new curricula for primary and secondary level education were initiated in 1937. The new textbooks were in line with the principles of the new political elite, concentrating on trying to instil patriotism, militarism, and the upholding of the constitution.
