Abstract: การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษของนักเรียนระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนปลาย ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ดังนี้ 1. นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 มีความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษผ่านเกณฑ์ 15 คะแนน จากคะแนนเต็ม 20 คะแนน ในระดับที่ 1 คือระดับทักษะกลไก 2. นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 และ 6 มีความสามารถด้านการอ่านภาษาอังกฤษผ่านเกณฑ์ 15 คะแนน จากคะแนนเต็ม 20 คะแนน ในระดับที่ 1 คือระดับทักษะกลไก และระดับที่ 2 คือระดับความรู้ 3. ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของนักเรียนแต่ละชั้นเรียงตามลำดับจากมากไปหาน้อย โดยค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 สูงกว่าค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 และค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 สูงกว่าค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 4. ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของแต่ละระดับการอ่านของนักเรียนทุกชั้นเรียงลำดับจากมากไปหาน้อยตั้งแต่ระดับที่ 1-5 คือระดับทักษะกลไก ระดับความรู้ ระดับการถ่ายโอน ระดับการสื่อสาร และระดับการวิเคราะห์วิจารณ์ ดังนี้ 4.1 ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ตั้งแต่ระดับที่ 1-5 มีค่าเท่ากับ 18.12 14.62 9.29 8.88 และ 7.14 ตามลำดับ 4.2 ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 5 ตั้งแต่ระดับที่ 1-5 มีค่าเท่ากับ 18.33 15.03 10.83 9.63 และ 7.50 ตามลำดับ 4.3 ค่ามัชฌิมเลขคณิตของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 ตั้งแต่ระดับที่ 1-5 มีค่าเท่ากับ 18.44 16.20 11.67 11.18 และ 9.58 ตามลำดับ
Other Abstract: The purpose of this study was to study the level of English reading ability of students at the upper secondary education level. The major findings of this study were as follows : 1. Mathayom suksa four students were able to pass the fifteen score out of twenty score criterion of the first level that was mechanical skills. 2. Mathayom suksa five and six students were able to pass the fifteen score out of twenty score criterion of the first level that was mechanical skills and the second level that was knowledge. 3. The average scores of students of each class were respectively ranged from the highest to the lowest scores; that is, the average score of mathayom suksa six students was higher than mathayom suksa five students’ and the average score of mathayom suksa five students was higher than mathayom suksa four students’. 4. The average scores of each reading level of students in every class were respectively ranged from the first to the fifth levels, namely: mechanical skills, knowledge, transfer, communication and criticism as follows : 4.1 The average scores of mathayom suksa four students from the first to the fifth levels were 18.12 14.62 9.29 8.88 and 7.14 respectively. 4.2 The average scores of mathayom suksa five students from the first to the fifth levels were 18.33 15.03 10.83 9.63 and 7.50 restectively. 4.3 The average scores of mathayom suksa six students from the first to the fifth levels were 18.44 16.20 11.67 11.18 and 9.58 respectively.
