| Abstract: | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจภาระของครอบครัวในการดูแลอันเกิดจากอาการของผู้สูงอายุสมองเสื่อม ปัญหาทางด้านสังคมและเศรษฐกิจของครอบครัวในการดูแลผู้สูงอายุสมองเสื่อมที่บ้าน และภาวะความเครียดของผู้ดูแล โดยการสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึกผู้ดูแลซึ่งเป็นบุคคลในครอบครัวเดียวกันกับผู้สูงอายุสมองเสื่อม ที่อาศัยอยู่ในชุมชนเขตพื้นที่รับผิดชอบของศูนย์บริการสาธารณสุข 3 บางซื่อ สำนักอนามัย กรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 29 ราย ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผู้สูงอายุสมองเสื่อม ก่อให้เกิดภาระแก่ผู้ดูแลในหลายด้าน ตามอาการดังนี้ คือ ความจำบกพร่อง ความผิดปกติของความคิด การสนทนาและการสื่อสาร การทำความสะอาดร่างกายและแต่งตัว การรับประทานอาหาร และการขับถ่าย การเคลื่อนไหว การนอนและพฤติกรรมที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไป โดยด้านการสนทนาสื่อสารและปัญหาในการขับถ่ายเป็นด้านที่มีจำนวนผู้ดูแลเห็นว่าเป็นภาระมากที่สุด ส่วนปัญหาทางด้านสังคมและเศรษฐกิจพบว่า ผู้สูงอายุสมองเสื่อม ไม่ได้ก่อให้เกิดปัญหาทางด้านเศรษฐกิจแก่ผู้ดูแล แต่เกิดปัญหาทางสังคม โดยส่งผลกระทบต่อชีวิตประจำวันของผู้ดูแล ทั้งนี้ผู้ดูแลได้ใช้วิธีการแก้ไขแตกต่างกันไป แต่ยังมีผู้ดูแลหลายรายที่ไม่สามารถจัดการกับปัญหานี้ได้ นอกจากนี้ผู้ดูแลส่วนใหญ่ยังยอมรับว่าเป็นภาวะความเครียด เกิดผลกระทบทางด้านจิตใจ และมีความไม่สบายกายเกิดขึ้น |
| Other Abstract: | The purpose of this study was to survey the burden of family in caring for the demented elderly at home, the socioeconomic problems and the stress of caregivers in the same family who live in communities area of the Public Health Center 3 Bang Sue, Bangkok. A case study of 29 caregivers were indepth interviewed. Family burden to caring for the demented elderly have been variouly described as forgetfulness, unusual thinking, speech and communication, Personal hygene in bathing and dressing mealtimes, incontinence, sleep disturbance, immobility and behavioural disturbance. Communication and incontinence were pointed as causing major burden more commonly than other points. The economic problem in caring for the demented elderly at home was not mentioned while the social effects on the caregivers dialy life were. Varies methods were used to cope these problems. However, many caregivers were unable to cope. Almost caregivers reported emotional distress and physical illness |
